Dog Walking

Our walking service is a perfect option for a pet in need of daytime relief, affection and exercise.  These types of visits are commonly used by pet owners who work too far away to come home for lunch to take their dog out for a quick walk.

Our  30 minute visits include a private, on-leash, 20-25 minute walk within your neighborhood and/or playtime in the yard or house.  We provide fresh water, food (if necessary) and any other general care (e.g. administering medicine). 

Whatever your situation, we will accommodate your needs and provide you with top quality service to help properly maintain your dog's health and well being.  

Puppies-   Daily mid-day visits help establish and maintain a consistent housebreaking schedule. Puppies typically need a bathroom break every 3 to 4 hours. Crate trained puppies need to get out at least every 3 to 4 hours for proper training and socialization. We make daily visits while you are at work. Not only is your puppy's schedule kept consistent, but they will also be socialized with someone other than the owner.

Adult Dogs-   Adult dogs require regular exercise to ensure good physical and mental health. Loving owners who work long hours can depend on Girl Friday to walk their dogs during the week when their time is the most limited.  Crated dogs are in particular need of a mid-day break. Over-crating and under exercising can result in a hyperactive, under-socialized dog.  We often work with clients in weaning dogs from their crate.

Elderly Dogs-   Elderly dogs may need more frequent bathroom breaks as they get older. When older dogs have accidents they often become stressed because they have been trained to go outside but they just can't "hold it" anymore.  A frustrated owner may end up confining the older dog. We can make daily, afternoon visits to give the elderly dog their much needed bathroom break. This keeps both the dog and the owner happy!
